How fun is this outfit. Anything fringe reminds me of the 1920’s, which to be honest is my least favorite era when it comes to fashion. It looked like a fun time though. Which I seem to be getting none of these days. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see snippets of an impromptu trip I took to LA. I literally booked it the day before. Tired from a super stressful week, I decided I needed some sun and a little revitalization. Let’s face it those West Coasters know a thing or two about fun. I wasn’t disappointed. My favorite part of the trip was discovering Uber. My life is forever changed.
Can we just take a minute and take in the fact how amazing this jacket is. So on the money with the military trend and very Autumn/Winter 2013. Can you believe I also only paid $10 for it. Yes 10 bucks. When it comes to vintage shopping, I super suck. I have no patience. The smell, the time consuming nature. It exhausts me really. Then my friend Vanessa convinced me to tag along on one of her shopping expeditions and BAM! This jacket. Its a jacket that actually belonged to a Canadian Soldier and has some inscription on the inside. Its so warm in the winter and on days I want to throw something on without thinking, I reach for this. $10 bucks! I can’t get over that.
Its Thanksgiving here in Canada. Of course I have to tell you guys what I’m thankful for. I’m thankful to all of you that come to my blog, everyone who ever left a comment, sent an email. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
The weather has been incredibly amazing these last few days, a bit windy but amazing nonetheless. So I put on my favorite wool coat to shield me from the wind and I decided to explore Vancouver and do a bit of people watching. I’ve lived in 8 different cities, on four different continents during the course of my lifetime and Vancouver is by far the most beautiful city I’ve lived in. They don’t call it the most beautiful city in the world for nothing. When I describe Vancouver to my out of town friends, I describe it as ‘Swiss Beauty with the sensibilities of Los Angeles’. Let’s just say I’m completely in love with this city at the moment.
As you might have noticed I’m back on my all black uniform. What can I say, once you go black…..
You’ve got to admit, Kanye West was on to something when he, hmm, invented leather joggers. Or shall I say he brought leather joggers to the fore front of fashion, because LAWD help me these are so comfy. Comfortable in every sense of the word. I think I near fell asleep in them. So if Kanye, husband of Kim Kardashian says they are fashion, then who am I to say otherwise. *Kanye Shrug*
The temptation to wear heels with this DVF dress was very strong. I love heels, but its always awesome to wear sneakers with a girly dress. It gives it that girl tomboy twist that I’m all about. I absolutely love the sneaker trend at the moment. Its amazing how a pair of shoes can completely change an outfit. non?
On another note. Its my birthday tomorrow. I’m a total birthday person and I might have annoyed everyone with my September long birthday celebrations. Oww well, Happy Birthday Me!
A big thank you to the guys at SideView Magazine for featuring me as a blogger to watch out for. Check it out here.

Shocked that I’m wearing print? And not just any print, Watercolor print??
After a week of feeling bleh! Battling a bout of the flu and Mariah Carey type exhaustion, I felt a certain lack of inspiration. Usually when this happens I’ll pick up a good book or the latest issue of Vogue Nippon (that usually almost does the trick). This time I craved for something intense. So I took to wandering the streets of Vancouver and researching my once favorite artists. One of them who happens to be Winslow Homer. So it almost seemed like fate when I saw this jacket peeking at me from my bursting closet. Not to sound cliche but wearing this jacket brought a little sunshine into my life. So maybe, just maybe I might be a print convert after all. Thank you Mr Homer for your inspiration on a slightly chilly day.
New York Fashion week has just gone by and I’ve been glued to the blogs and Instagram like never before. Thank you The Cut for your daily dose of fashion week goodness. I’m particularly excited about new brands that I haven’t heard before. Chromat is high on my list of SS15 favorites . I could rave and rave but then I’ll let you all decide for yourselves.
I once wished this cropped-top style trend would die! But then I thought wait a minute, who exactly says I can’t wear a cropped top. So this top, which is actually a bikini top and this skirt, which I’ve worn to the death has become my favorite combo.
Its September!! Not only is September my birthday month, its also the beginning of Fall. My favorite season. The layers, the boots will all be making a comeback! I can’t wait.
Tunic : Topshop | Heels: Zara | Necklace : Banana Republic
Grey is at the very top of my colour list. I would very well be happy having my closet consist of black and grey. Maybe the occasional white. With all the talk of The 50 Shades of Grey movie, I saw this dress and thought maybe I can attract my very own Christian Grey. Ha, If only!
Tunic : H&M | Jeans : Forever 21+| Shoes : Zara
There’s something incredibly grown up and Fashion ”Weeky” (if there was ever such a word) about a jacket draped across one’s shoulders. So convenient and perfect for those slightly chilly summer evenings. I’m sure I’ll be wearing my jackets draped, well into Fall….which of course is my favorite season of all time. Partly because, early fall is my birthday!
Denim Jacket : ASOS | Dress : Topshop | Shoes: Zara | Bag: Rachael Ruddick| Pearl Bracelet : THPSHOP
Growing up colour was always the enemy. There’s something very comfortable about wearing all black. There’s a quote I saw on Instagram the other day and I believe it said something along the lines of ”I’ll stop wearing black when a darker colour is invented”. That’s me in a nutshell. These days I find myself reaching for splashes of colour, this Topshop number included. Of course I paired it with my ever faithful denim jacket.
